we people are having our semester exams .. thats the reason for dealyed blogs.. anyways the whole experience of working on GSD is good so far...the RFP letter was clear and well formed.. communication was not as such a big problem.. documents also were easily avialaible.. however we did felt the need to access wiki for putting up our documents.. but we didnot had access...the requirements documents were all nicely made.. the only problem was of missing formats and missing attributes of stakeholders like student, proff, libraraian and administrator.. for that we did sent mails asking the same.. but never got an answer till the data base design phase.. as our data base design was rejected so we did got the rejection letter.. however me and my team mate, as she had already stated, do not agree with the justification given the letter.. because we sent a covering letter with our design which addressed all the points which were given as reasons for rejection.. and for the same reason we could not provide the create table statements... other then that things have been going smooth now... all 6 of us are working together and we have already sent the complete database creation statements to the US teams.. and we will start working again after our exams get over after next week..

Received the response letter

Hello all

Sorry for the delayed blog.
I have received the response letter from Pace University students. The database design by my team has been rejected. But I and my team mate do not find the reasons for rejection justifiable. We had enclosed with our database design a query document that said the same thing as mentioned in the response letter. We had not provided the create table statements because we were not clear about the formats of some fields. But then only one design had to be selected. So I am kind of happy that at least the wait for the result got over. Finally we know what design has to be followed and are now working as an inspired and enthusiastic team towards the completion of this project.

First database design document version1

Hello all

We have mailed our first database design document verion1 to the student and librarian team of Pace University. Alongwith that document a query document had also been mailed to which we have still not received any reply. It is not possible for us to proceed to MySQL queries without our questiond being answered. We had been trying to post this blog for about a week, but could not do the same.

Our first chat

We had many queries regarding the SRS we got from Pace Univ. students. Well finally we had the long awaited online chat with them and clarified most of our doubts. It was a great experience. We have started the initial database design phase. This whole idea of GSD is a great concept for bringing together thinking minds from different parts of world.
